I'm sorry, but there is no cemetery listing in Brown County
for James F. Barlow. I checked the 1860 census for Brown County
and found no James Barlow, but I did find a James Barlow, age 6 (b. 1854), son
of John & Patsy Barlow in the Adams County, IL 1860 census. Adams is the county bordering Brown on the west.
Versailles Area Genealogical &
Historical Society (http://vaghs.tripod.com/) might
have the information you seek. They have newspaper listings for major events in
the county, or can have a researcher (for a fee) read the newspaper for that
date.
You may also want to check with the
Brown County Clerk for a death certificate. He might have died in Brown County
and been buried elsewhere. Please check our website under "Brown County
Addresses" at the bottom of the homepage for the information on the clerks office.
