Dear Penny,

Here’s the information you requested:

From Cemeteries of Brown County, Illinois

Mt Sterling City Cemetery, p. 214

William M. Dean 17 Mar 1858 – 13 Jun 1935, son of Elizabeth Dean who purchased the NW ¼ of Section 4 of Buckhorn Twp, 26 Sep 1868.

Nancy J. Johnson, wife of William Dean 3 Sep 1860 – 7 Jul 1950

Della Dean Childers wife of Miles Childers 1880 – 1960

Don Dewayne Childers son of Miles and Della Childers 29 Dec 1913 – 7 Dec 1928

There is no address for a sexton. You might contact the county clerk to see if there is one. Another place to contact for this information may be the Versailles Area Historical society.

The county relies very heavily on the book for burials prior to 1973. I don’t know what they do for burials 1973 forward.

Sincerely,

Ken Huffman

William H. (M.) Dean and Nancy John Dean are buried in Brown County, 214 - is this this Mt. Sterling City Cemetery? If so, would you please send the address, so I may contact the sexton?

Thank you,

Penny
