Dear Carol,

I had a little trouble finding what you were asking for. In the future, please indicate in the "subject" box of your message what book or census you are referencing from the Brown County website. It helps us to locate information more quickly. Thank you.

I hope these entries will be of some help to you in your search for your family.

G. M Farmer was found on pages 99 and 101 of Cemeteries of Brown County, Illinois (called "Permanent Resident Index" on the first page of the website). He and his wife are listed, and four daughters who were "all victims of consumption". The entry for him and his family is as follows:

Cemeteries of Brown County, Illinois, Howe Cemetery, Lee township, Brown County, IL, pp 99,101:

      G. M. Farmer (1837-1897)

      Nancy A. Farmer, wife of G. M. Farmer, (1837-1901)

      Minnie A. Farmer, daughter of G. M. and Nancy A. Farmer, (1874-1897)

Henrietta Farmer, daughter of G. M. and Nancy A. Farmer, (1866-1898)

      Mary E. Farmer, daughter of G. M. and Nancy A. Farmer, (1875-1898)

Isabel Farmer, daughter of G. M. and Nancy A. Farmer, (1870-1887)

William Farmer is mentioned on page 283 of Cemeteries of Brown County, Illinois, as having been one of the earliest plot owners, owning at least one plot in the Pea Ridge township. Though he is not mentioned in the burial listings, the listings for his family are as follows:

Cemeteries of Brown County, Illinois, Beckam Cemetery, Pea Ridge township, pages 284 & 286:

George W. Farmer (no dates given)

Suzanne, wife of William Farmer (died 4 Jan 1856, aged 26y 3m 14d)

      (____) son of W. and S. Farmer (died 1 Sep 1855, aged 2y 4m 6d)

Eliza Farmer (died 28 Oct 1860, aged 4 yrs)
