Dear Richard,

I have some information for you on Gentry. You might want to rework your query to include this new info. Also take a look at the census indexes for 1860 and 1870, and the “permanent Resident Index” (cemetery listings). We will do lookups if you send the page numbers you need.

Subject: Brown County Query

I'm trying to look for any information on Owen Perry GENTRY, b. Mt Sterling, Brown Co., Ill. on 2 Apr. 1840.  Believed married to Margaret Hamilton in Brown Co., Ill.

Father,  Oliver Perry GENTRY believed died Brown Co., Ill.

It is believed that Owen had 4 sons and 2 daughters born in Brown Co., Ill.

Any information on this family greatly appreciated.

It is believed that Owen left Brown Co., Ill. right after the Civil War and moved to Texas.

Thank You,

Richard Gentry
