Dear
Carylon,
The
E. Henry listed on pg. 338 is Eliza (Emerick) Henry. A characteristic of the
burial entries is to list the parents names by their initials rather than there
full names. Eliza is mentioned in a later section of the book as the mother of
the children listed in the burial records.
The
1850 census couple who are the parents of Edwin, William and Mary Henry, are not
in the 1860 census. Edwin would have been only 9 or 10 in that census. My guess
is that the family moved out of the county. Neither the parents nor Edwin are in
the County burial records. There is another William and Mary Henry buried in the
County but they are 10+ years older that the couple in the 1850 census.
I
checked my AIS index for William Henry in nearby counties and came up with these
two. You need to get the 1860 census for these two counties to see if you can
find one with a 9-10 year old named Edwin. In Illinois there are 60 William
Henry’s. So this is a pretty common name.

I
also checked the marriages to see if they might provide any other clues to where
the family might be in 1860. I found this
couple:
HENRY,
WILLIAM H
AUSBORNE, MARY 03/30/1848
A&B/00000431 BROWN
I
checked for nearby Osborn families but did not find any. There is a family in
the 1850 census in Elkhorm Twp. Who are potentially Mary’s
parents:

Can you tell me if E. Henry on page 338..is Edwin Henry who was born
abt
1849 (was 1 yr in 1850 census) and was dead by the 1860 census. If
so
where is he buried.
Thank you so much for your time in reading
this.
