Subject: RE: Brown County (1860 Census Index)

I was unable to locate anything more on Silas Johnson other than the censuses. I checked the cemetery records and found a Martha Johnson listed as a wife of Aaron Logsdon. Since it appears Martha Johnson died prior to the 1870 census, she would not be Silas’s wife. It seems likely that they were buried in a neighboring county. They had a large family (see 1850 census listings) and may have crossed county borders when settling on their own farms.

I hope this is of some help to you.

Regards,
