Dear Wendell,

I found a William Kindhart in the Knight Cemetery in Pea Ridge Twp. b. 1886, d. 1958. There appears to be an entry error in the book so I cannot confirm for certain that this is the correct cemetery for this William Kindhart. If this is the Willam Kindhart you are looking for, this burial is recorded in Cemeteries of Brown County, Illinois, p. 289.

The confusion occurs when you look at family relationships on p. 291 and they refer to a completely different William Kindhart with different birth and death dates.

You could order the death certificate for this William Kindhart, giving them the death year and county of burial.. You can get ordering information from

The Versailles Area Genealogy and Historical Society has a collection of Obituaries from the local newspapers. I believe 1958, is a year they have in the collection.. You can contact them:

If no one responds with help looking up the 1900, 1910 or 1920 Census, you might try visiting the LDS Family History Center nearest where you live. They have the ability to order census films for you but you will have to do the search.

Subject: Census Lookup Assistance

I respectfully solicit assistance for information about WILLIAM HENRY
KINDHART.  In the 1900 census of Northeast Township, Adams County,  Illinois, he is
going by the name of HENRY KINDHART, wife Daisy  (Garner).

It would help me if someone has access to the 1900 or 1920 census to give
the information on the names and ages of their children.

He died in 1958, perhaps in Brown County or Adams County, Illinois.   It may
be helpful if I could get a copy of his obituary.

I will certainly appreciate any assistance given.
