The website only has Obituaries on http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilbrown/Bcwills_obits.html and George and Martha are not there. However, the Versailles Historical Society does have an obituary project and they may have them for the time period you need. You can contact them at

I can look in the Cemeteries of Brown County, Illinois and give you the information on George and Martha. There are several Georges in the burial index. So let me start with the one on page 31 which is Cooperstown Cemetery.
G. R. Logsdon (1820-1910)
Martha Rose, wife of G. R. Logsdon, 31 Jan 1896, age 64 y, 9 m, 26 days.
They also have children buried here Ezekiel, Katherine, Jonathan R. and Hulda – I can send their information if this is the right couple.
On the Illinois Statewide Marriage index:
Groom Bride Date Book/Entry County
LOGSDON, GEORGE ROSE, MARTHA 09/09/1849 A&B/00000530 BROWN
These look like the couple that you are looking for except for the death date for George. Death certificates were not recorded until after 1917, so there is no death record in the statewide index. You may still want to get the Obituary from VAGHS to prove the correctness of this entry.
There is a George Logsdon on p. 40 in the Cross Roads Cemetery (also in Cooperstown Twp.)
George C. Logsdon, 2 May 1851 – 18 Feb 1928
Almarinda Worthington, wife of George C. Logsdon, 24 Dec 1850 – 4 Mar 1905
Here is their marriage record:
LOGSDON, GEORGE WORTHINGTON, ALMARINDA JANE 02/09/1871 C/84 1201 BROWN
There is a George and Sally McKinsie Logsdon in the Logsdon Cemetery, pp. 49-50 and mentioned in the DeWitt Cemetery, pp 42-43 but they were born in the 1790’s. I don’t know which cemetery they are really buried in. They are recorded in both. Both cemeteries are in Cooperstown Twp.
There is a George and Sue McPherson Logsdon in the Mt Sterling City Cemetery, pp. 225, 258-259. They both died in 1948 and were born in 1856 and 1866, respectively.
All the other George Logsdon’s are children when they died.
I’ve given all the information I have on George and Martha and George and Almarinda. If you need more information on the others, let me know and I’ll look it up. I can also give some additional information on George and Martha’s children if you need it.
Sincerely,
Ken Huffman

Subject: Brown County Look Up
Hi. I am hoping you can help, please. I have found two people in your index who I would like to have obituaries for but I cannot get into your cemetery file. The people are Martha Rose Logsdon and George Logsdon who are listed in # 31. I have a death date of a George Logsdon of 18 February 1928 in Versailles Twp, Brown County but I don't know if he is the correct one. If you can find these obits, I will gladly pay copy fees. My mailing address is Sheila Smith 1623 Fairway Drive, Clinton, Iowa 52732. Any help you can provide is appreciated. Thank you for your time, Sheila
