NAMES: Morrell

Here's some information that may add to what you need. I have scanned a small section of page 21 in Cemeteries of Brown County and attached to this message. This gives you all the names of Morrells in the cemetery but not all the details. If you see some you want more information on, I will send it on your request.

Hi ken;

I visited the Illinois site, and found that there were a number of Morrell's. Elmore Morrell is my husband's gggrandfather on his mother's line. I am inquiring to find his death notice, obit, or cemetery that he was buried. Hi wife was also there, and I know of one brother cyrus g. Elmore was born 1803 maine, died 1890 brown co Ill. I don't think his wife died there, as she remarried a James Snelling, and move to van buren co Iowa. they had a daughter Mary, whom I think was born in Ill. any help is appreciated. thank you.kathy canaday

Hi

I am sorry that I didn't get back to you sooner, but my computer was in the shop since saturday. Thank you so much for the info. I noticed a Arthur Martin mentioned. I have a friend that is also related to the coles, that is looking for Martins. I am beginning to think that they all traveled together. Her grandfather was Arthur Martin also. But it is probably a son or grandson, as this one married a rosa belle winters in 1897, in van buren, iowa. If you happen to see anything else on the martin's I would appreciate it. Her father was adopted at about age 11, after his mother passed away. My friend is trying to search for the martins. Thank you so much for your help, and if there is anything that I can be of help to you, please let me know. I have to get off for now as it is very late, and tomorrow is a big day. My nephew, who has lived with me for 7 years, and just graduated in may is going to calif to live with his mom for awhile. He hasn't seen her in 10 years. He was raised by his dad untill he came to iowa at age 11. He is like one of my own. We are going to have his christmas and thanksgiving all at once. I am really going to miss him. Hope that you have a real nice thanksgiving. talk to you later.
