Have you checked the Brown
County censuses to determine how long they were in the county? Perhaps you
already know where they were in 1900. If you think they were still in the county
in 1900, I can check that census for you. Unfortunately, I do not have an index
for it and the ones following (1910,1920 & 1930) as I do with the earlier
ones, so I have to look through the whole county to find
them.
Here’s a parker entry in the

Notice Emma, age 17, could
be your Emma. I looked for Johnson’s nearby but could not find any likely
candidates. There was one William about the right age but no
Alva.
If
they died after 1917, many states started recording deaths and keeping death
certificates. If you know where they died, you may get additional information
about Emma from it. Sometimes parents’ names are listed. If they died in
Illinois, there is an online access to the recorded deaths. You can find a link
on my web page for it.
Hope you strike it rich
soon.
Sincerely,
Ken
Huffman

Thank you. I'm not
having much luck finding out anything about them, but I'm
going to keep
trying. This information may help me. Thanks
again.
