Mrs. Lucy Arvin
Mt. Sterling, Ill,
Feb 9, - Mrs. Lucy Arvin, formerly of Timewell, died in Hill Memorial hospital
at the Soldier's home, Quincy, Wednesday night at 10. Funeral Services will be
held in the Rounds funeral chapel here Saturday morning at 10 and burial will be
in Mounds cemetery, Timewell. Mrs. Arvin had resided at the Soldiers' home since
1936.
Mrs. Arvin was
born in Canton, Mo., April 6, 1873, a daughter of James A. and Lucy Young and
was married in Rushville Dec. 19, 1894, to Roscoe Arvin. Surviving are two sons,
Earl Arvin of El Monte, Cal., and James Arvin of Homewood, Ill; four
grandchildren; one great-grandson, and a sister, Mrs. William Sprouse of Mt.
Sterling, Mrs. Arvin was a member of the Methodist church.
