Dear
Tammy,
I’m going to
provide the information I found in reverse order. That is starting with the 1930
Census and working back. As I find the names of those who have died I will add
their death information from the book, Cemeteries of
Brown County, Illinois 1925-1972. I recommend that you follow up
with requests to the State and County for birth, marriage and death
certificates. They will provide some additional information. I will add the
addresses for these resources at the end.

There are several other related
Dierking and Adams families in these records. I did not extract them because I
couldn’t make my commitment to you to get this to you this weekend. There are
several more hours of analysis and copying to get them all. I recommend that if
the interest is great enough that you or your daughter look at these Census
records and decide if you want the information. I can easily provide burial
information from the Cemeteries book.
I recommend that you request the
death certificates from the State of Illinois, their url address
is:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilsgs/projects/deathcerts.html
From this page you can lookup
and order the certificates you want.
I also recommend that you
request the marriage certificates for those married after 1900. Marriages prior
to 1900 are listed at:
http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/archives/genealogy/forms/marrsrch.html
For 1901 and later you will have
to write to the County clerk:
Brown County Clerk
Courthouse
Bldg
200 West Court, Rm 4
Mt. Sterling, IL 62353
(217)
773-3421
They charge $5 per search, whether they
find the marriage or not. So send as much information as possible. The marriage
certificates may provide some additional information that you do not yet
have.
I hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Ken huffman

Subject: William and Elizabeth (Dierking)
Adams
Hello!
I tried
to use the link to the Adams surname email, but it was returned as a bad link,
so I am writing
to you,
Mr. Huffman, in hopes that you will forward this to the appropriate
person. I am interested in obtaining any information regarding William and
Elizabeth (Dierking) Adams. My grandmother is their middle child, Clara
May (Betty) Kirgan. My own daughter has many questions and most I don't
have the answers to. William was born about 1887 and died in
late
November,
early December of 1956. Elizabeth (or also known as Lizzie) was born in
1895 and
died in
1969. Any information you can provide would be greatly
appreciated.
Sincerely,
Tammy
