RE: BETHEL COLSTON
Bobbie,
The
information you requested is from the DeHart Cemetery. Both Bethel and, I
assume, his wife Berthey are buried there. However, the persons collecting the
headstone information reported that the information, other than the names, was
unreadable.
An
alternative would be to trace them via the census. This will narrow the search
for death information to a 10 year period. Some newspapers have been preserved
and it may be that the information can be found from an obituary. Another
possible source would be to search for a will or other probate record. There
are two references to probate files for Bethel Coulson in the Brown county
Probate index. You may want to write to the County Clerk and have them check
boxes 68 and 116. The dates for these are 1879 and 1894 respectively. This
narrows his death to near those years.
Sincerely,
Ken
Huffman
