Dear Pamela,
Here is what we discovered for you.
First, the 1860 census index is complete, but the 1880 still lacks Ripley & Versailles townships, which we are in process of completing. We checked both those townships for your Kingree surname but found nothing.

=====
I found quite a number of Kingery marriages in Illinois on the State Marriage Index:

=====
We checked all other known indexes and biographical selections with no luck, and have no idea when they entered the county. This isn't a lot, but I hope it is of help to you.

Hello: I just visited your website courtesy of a Rootsweb search. I am researching the surname KINGREE, and notice two entries on your website. I had NO idea there were any Kingree's in Illinois, and I have been researching them for quite some time. On the 1870 Census index, you have the following two listings: Thornton Kingarie - MStwp 159Henry Kingry - MStwp 99 I did not find the surname on either the 1860 or 1880 census listings. Are these completed? Also on your Permanent Resident Index: Brown County Burials page there were two listings: Mary Tice Kingree - 14Thornton Kingree - 14 Would you please look up these two sets of records for me? I am extremely curious about them as this name is VERY rare and most of the family came from Virginia. Thank you so much for your time.. Pamela (Kingree) Moats
