I am searching for my Lackey / Lacky family in Illinois. I know they lived there from about 1834 to after 1846, then the mother,SARAHAN or SARAH ANN, moved to Cass Co., Missouri where she remarried. No husband was listed with her in the 1850 census.
From the 1840 census, which only lists the head of the household, it appears that THOMAS LACKEY of Brown Co., Illinois would fit my family. In that census, he had a boy and girl under 5, 2 boys ages 5 to 10, 2 girls ages 10 to 15, and he and his wife were ages 30 to 40. Perhaps, he is the Thomas Lackey listed in your cemetery records.
I would appreciate any notes that might be listed with your records to help me see if this is my family. Thank you.
