NAMES: Lambert

Simeon and Martha Lambert live side by side in 1870 (house #87 & 88). Either this numbering is a mistake, and they are married, or both are missing a spouse. I decided to check Simeon in the 1860 first to get some foundation and did find him with a wife and son. The 1860 and 1870 give different birth places for Simeon:

1860 Fed Census, Pea Ridge, Brown Co, IL 1636/1574:

Simeon Lambert 58, farmer, b. KY
Mrs. P. Lambert 59, b. KY
Stephen Lambert 17, b. Indiana

1870 Fed Census, Pea Ridge, Brown Co, IL 87/87:

Simeon Lambert 64, farmer, b. Indiana

1870 Fed Census, Pea Ridge, Brown Co, IL 88/88:

Robert Lambert 14, b. Indiana
Nancy Lambert 12, b. Illinois
Martha Lambert 10, b. IL
George Lambert 7, b. IL
Joseph Lambert 4, b. IL
Sarah Lambert 7months, b. IL
Susinela? Crouell 22, domestic, b. OH

In 1880, Simeon Lambert is 78 years old and has a wife, Martha A, age 48, b. Indiana, and a young daughter, Viola. If this is the same Martha, where are the other children? See: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilbrown/1880_Census/BrownCounty1880Census-155.html#fam89
