GIDDINGS, Homer A.
Died, Mr. Homer A. GIDDINGS of Pea Ridge vicinity at the old home about six miles northeast of Clayton
on Saturday AM, feeble many months due to old age. Born in Ohio 1822, was past 77 years old.
Joined Methodist Church in 1844. Came to Illinois at an early age and lived Pea Ridge Township 50 years or more.
Leaves aged widow and several children. Services by Rev. P. Slagle Monday PM.

GIDDINGS, Homer A.
Died, another land mark from the school section (16th) of old Pea Ridge township, Homer A. GIDDINGS. Born in Turnball County, Ohio Aug 22, 1822, came to Brown County, Illinois about 1834 to stay till death at his home 11 am 22nd inst. Married Elizabeth M. BOBBITT June 5, 1845 who survives him with three of their six children, George who lived with him and John who was summoned from his home in Cass County Kansas, but Lillian who lives Phelps County, Nebraska could not come. Fell on the doorstep the 20th of October and was never able to walk without help.
