I am interested in the Bell, Coffman, Clark, Carter families of this county. Of special interest is Thomas Jason Clark, who married Josephine Viola Fultz. Also of interest is Mary Jane Bell, daughter of John Bell who married Moses Coffman and moved to Marion Co., Palmyra, Mo. and lived there in the 1860’s and operated a grocery store. Mary Jane Bell Coffman died in Quincy IL in 1920 and is buried in the Bell Cemetery in Missouri Twp, Brown Co. Mary Jane and Moses Coffman‘s daughter Mary Elisabeth Coffman married John Mann Fultz of Quincy IL. and lived there until her death. Any info on these families would be appreciated. I’m looking for any “missing links” to the Bordenkircher family tree. I’ve got nearly everything, but would find a lot of “unknown” Bordenkirchers if I’d search in Ohio. I’m always running across new Bordenkirchers, especially online. There are 175 listings in Switchboard.

Davis, Elijah born about 1817 and married an Elizabeth Shoopman born about 1819 and married August 23, 1837 probably in Cass Co., Ill. They had Edward, William, Hannah, James P., Sarah E., & Francis Marion,my great grandfather. Last found Elijah and Elizabeth in the 1860 Cass Co. census. Her parents are buried at Clark Cem. in Cass Co. and a lot of his relatives, but after 1860 just can’t seem to place them anywhere. I know there are Shoopmans in Brown Co., and wonder if any of them are connected to Elizabeth in anyway, and would share their thoughts with me. Thank you, C. Orwig.
