Looking for Jennings and Williams family. Cordelia Williams was living in Schuyler Co. Woodstock Co. next to B.H. Ingles. Her husband’s name was John Williams. They cannot be found in the 1870 Census. They associated and intermarried with famililies by the name of Ruby and Small. The Ruby and Small‘s were in Iowa bef 1850, then ILL, then MO by 1860 and then possibly back to IND and they returned to ILL by 1880 and then back to MO, KS and then to NW. Looking for a Charles Jennings who was killed by a train abt. 1879. His son Charles Albert was born in 1875 in ILL, whose mother was Laura Williams, b. 1856 possibly in MO. These families were in both Schuyler and Brown. Need to find where Williams family came from – There are several hundred John Williams in MO, IL, KS and IN – Need to find some records that would identify Williams family in this area for years prior and after 1880. Cordelia was blind and must have had a reason to be living in Woodstock Twp. especially if she came from somewhere else. What happened to her husband?

Looking for info on a John M. (Martin) Bell who married a Mary Ann Smith. They resided in Clayton, Adams Cty, 1850 census. Mary Ann Smith Bell died Jan 17 1872 probably Adams County, but I have no info on her line whatsoever. I know that they had several children in Adams Cty: Frances E. b: 1853 William B; 1855 Marcellus b: 1857 Ema B; 1859 Reuben S. 1865 Mattie b: 1871. I know they were married in Brown Cty by a Reuben McCoy, and that somehow there is a link to a Hanna Smith McCoy, but I can’t put it together. Anyone who can share info would be appreciated. Thanks, Rick.

Searching for information on Myers families in Brown County, Illinois between 1850 and 1890. George (Black Hawk) Myers wife Polly Doughty moved to Brown County about 1850 with children Ruth, Betsy Ann, Thomas, maybe others. Peter m. Martha H. Linn also moved to Brown County but I am not sure if it was before or after Martha’s death. Peter married twice in Brown County, first Rhody Bullard and Mary E. Reeves after Rhody’s death. Ruth married John Bullard, Thomas married Sarah Ann Bullard, Elizabeth A. (I think this was Betsy Ann) married William P. Houston, William married Viola Metcalf. Looking for any information so I can fill in the puzzles. Also looking for Mary E. Reeves family; father was Silas Reeves married Sarah DeHart.

April Churchill Sun Dec 8 19:14:23 1996
I am currently researching the Churchill surname. My line lived in Brown County from around 1860 to 1920. Robert and Helen Churchill had 10 children 5 of which were born in Brown County. Names include Marietta, Robert, Franklin, Roswell, Amon, Katie G., and Rolland. They lived in Mt. Sterling however I have been able to find very little records. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated as after two years of research I have turned up very little on this family. Thank-you, April
